It was Samsung who started upon taking the idea of a Phablet i.e. a Smartphone of around 5 inch screen. In the beginning, there were questions regarding its size as most of the people thought that it would be tough to keep in pocket or even hold in Hand.
But the first phone with 5.3 inches screen i.e. Samsung Galaxy note N7000 was hit and it is actually one of the most-selling phones by Samsung after Galaxy S III, SII and S android phones. They were given a quick competition by LG as they went further by launching LG Optimus Vu which was a big failure. And, now it is the Indian mobile manufacturer Micromax who are coming up with a 5 inch smartphone based on Android. It is named as Micromax A100 Phablet.
Micromax A100 is a 5 inch screen smartphone with Android ICS 4.0. It is provided with a high-resolution of 854×480 pixels. In the beginning, critics have been considering it as a counter-step by the company against the Spice Stellar Horizon with similar specifications.
The best part is that it comes with a 3G support along with dual SIM connectivity. The initial price at which it is available is Rs 10,000 (HomeShop18). You cannot compare it with Galaxy Note and other high phones but it is something good to have as it provides you with full value for money. The battery on which it runs is a 2000 mAh so backup is not going to be a problem. Also it has an internal storage capacity of 4GB along with a micro-SD card support of upto 32 GB. Also the camera is decent one with a 5MP resolution.
